Are Puzzles a Contact Sport?

I can't believe it's only been a month since my last blog post. June was exceptionally busy, on a personal level. JB, Trudy, Wally, Gus, and I loaded up and went to Texas for a week. We had quite a few doctor's appointments and we went on a date for our colonoscopies. 🤣

We spent some quality time with my family and managed to fit some time in to work on a puzzle. I was sad that I had to leave before it was finished, though. That's not normal for us. We try very hard to choose a puzzle that we know we can finish before I go home. I just had way too much going on. We can easily finish a 500 piece puzzle in one evening. This one is for sale at Lake Quilt Co. & Mercantile. It's called Quilter's Corner and it's 1,000 pieces.

I have a feeling there are a lot of quilters out there that enjoy puzzles. I love that you can just walk by and it will suck you in. It's also nice that the entire family can participate.

I met a really funny lady at Daisy Days last month that purchased Quilter's Corner from me. She said she'd just visited her siblings out of state and couldn't believe how competitive they all were putting a puzzle together. It's so true! Who knew? It really made me laugh because I think my family and I stop just short of it becoming a contact sport.

Between the trip, the appointments, and getting back into the swing of things at home, June didn't leave much room for anything else — and that's okay. Some months are for the business and some months are for the people (and dogs) who make the business worth building in the first place. But I've got something pretty cute up my sleeve. Details soon.
